This performance, although full of language, is not about understanding the meaning of the words. It is about a bodily state of existence, it is about stillness in a world that consciously speeds up, it about not being able to catch up on life.

STILL

Movement surrounds me and I stay still.

I am…

I am…

How to circumscribe what I cannot recognise?

How to give sound to a name I know not to pronounce?

My designation is such that language is not important.

I speak as if I have a loaded gun in my mouth.

With bullets as my teeth I devour time. The waiting is over.

FIRE!

FIRE!

FIRE!

For every piercing truth I expose, I violently pull out a tooth.

Unloading the heart comes always with a price.

Now my mouth is full of blood.

Now my lips become red.

Now my body is coloured with pain and tastes like rust.

Movement surrounds me and I lay still.

The past is exposed.

The present, reproved.

The imaginary is all I am left with, here, still.

How to circumscribe what I cannot recognise?

How to give sound to a name I know not to pronounce?

Looking for sense where there was none.

Making the same mistakes over and over again.

Life is senseless, and yet, the sun is still shining.

Movement never ceases, and yet,

                                                           I am                                                                                       still.
